Ref: DOMESTIC COUPLE - SURREYDOESURREY

Live-in Domestic Couple, Surrey Hills

An exceptional setting, a beautiful home and a long-term opportunity to grow

Location: Surrey Hills, Surrey | Salary: DOE | Type: Full-time, permanent, live-in

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a live-in domestic couple to help shape a beautiful, nature-inspired destination in the Surrey Hills. Set within extensive grounds, the venue offers the chance to create something truly special for families and guests, with scope for growth and career advancement as it develops.

Think of a unique boutique hotel, where every detail is meticulously considered, spaces are beautifully presented and the guest experience is at the heart of every decision.

We are seeking an energetic, resourceful couple who take genuine pride in their work and would embrace this as a long-term opportunity. You will bring exceptional cleaning and organisational standards, practical skills and a shared vision for creating a beautiful, welcoming environment.

The Domestic Couple Role

Each of you will have your own responsibilities, shaped around your skills and experience. However, this is very much a partnership: you must work well together, share tasks and combine your efforts whenever needed to keep everything running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

  • Cleaning, housekeeping and organising to the highest standards, ensuring every space is immaculate and thoughtfully arranged
  • Preparing the venue for guests, with meticulous attention to comfort, aesthetics and finishing touches
  • Flower arranging and adding thoughtful details that enhance the setting
  • Practical maintenance, repairs and handyman duties, identifying issues and finding effective solutions
  • Managing stock, ordering supplies and sourcing the items needed for an exceptional guest experience
  • Using computers confidently to manage orders, records and day-to-day administration
  • Supporting events and adapting to the changing needs of the venue

You will be self-starters who notice what needs doing and take action. We are looking for a couple who take ownership of their positions, caring for the property and guest experience with the same consideration and commitment as if they were the principals themselves.

About You

Together, you will offer a complementary skillset combining exceptional housekeeping with practical maintenance and organisational ability. You will have an eye for detail, a vision for what is beautiful and the resourcefulness to turn that vision into reality.

You should be solutions-focused, comfortable making decisions within your responsibilities and able to anticipate needs. Just as importantly, you will bring warmth, discretion and an immaculate personal presentation.

The grounds are extensive, so good energy levels and an enjoyment of an active working day are essential.

Experience required

  • A proven track record as a domestic couple, housekeeper and handyman team, or similar
  • Excellent, checkable references
  • Couples with two to three years of experience working together will also be considered, provided they can demonstrate the skills, standards and teamwork this role requires

Accommodation and Working Pattern

The role includes a beautiful, separate two-bedroom house, away from the workplace, giving you a private home in which to relax and enjoy the surroundings. A couple with a child can also be accommodated.

This is a five-day working week, with flexibility to support events and work weekends when required. These commitments will be planned in advance.

A Long-Term Future in the Surrey Hills

This is a long-term position for a couple who want to settle, contribute and grow with the venue. There is genuine scope to develop your responsibilities and advance your careers as the destination evolves.

If you love nature, care deeply about presentation and would enjoy helping create a magical destination for families and guests, we would love to hear from you.
