Diary Note: A Week in the Life of an UHNW Travel Designer
By Jesse Sharp of Celsius London – Trusted Partner of Silks Luxury Lifestyle
If there’s one thing I’ve learned working with UHNW clients, it’s that “routine” doesn’t exist. Every week is shaped entirely by the people I work with, their pace, their expectations, and often their spontaneity. At Celsius London, my role isn’t just to plan travel, it’s to anticipate it, elevate it, and ensure it unfolds effortlessly, no matter how complex it may seem behind the scenes.

Monday: Setting the Tone
I start the week by reviewing every client currently travelling or about to depart. It’s not just about ticking boxes, it’s about ensuring everything feels seamless. This week began with a couple en route to Kyoto during cherry blossom season. Availability is always tight, but I secured them Aman Kyoto, giving them a more immersive and intimate experience. Alongside that, I arranged early morning access to lesser-known temples to avoid the crowds, something that completely changes how they experience the city.
Another client was heading to Los Angeles for a short stay but wanted total privacy. I arranged a hillside villa in Bel Air with full staff, private security, and discreet transfers throughout. No check-ins, no waiting, just arrival and immediate comfort.

Tuesdays are often about long-haul, more intricate itineraries.
I spent most of the day designing a South American journey for a family wanting something adventurous yet refined. We’re talking Patagonia with private guides, a fly-in stay at an ultra-remote lodge, followed by a shift in pace to Mendoza for vineyard experiences and slow afternoons. Balancing those contrasts is where the real creativity comes in.
At the same time, I had a last-minute request for a winter escape. Within a few hours, I’d secured a private chalet in Verbier, complete with chef, ski instructor, and helicopter transfers from Geneva. Timing is everything in this role.

Wednesday: Leveraging Access
Midweek is where Celsius London really comes into its own. Our relationships allow me to go beyond what’s publicly available.
Alongside more complex itineraries, I also curated a simple yet beautifully executed city break to Florence. The brief was ease, culture, and understated luxury. I secured a suite at Four Seasons Firenze, set within its private gardens, offering a true sense of calm just moments from the city’s energy.I arranged private, skip-the-line access to the Uffizi Gallery with an expert art historian, transforming what could be a busy visit into a deeply personal experience.

Beyond that, I added a private after-hours tour of the hotel’s own Renaissance art collection, a bespoke wine tasting in the gardens, and a spa ritual to unwind after a day exploring. It’s often these shorter, perfectly balanced escapes that clients appreciate most.
Elsewhere, a client travelling through Dubai wanted something “different” from the usual luxury experience. I arranged a private desert camp set-up, completely bespoke, with a chef, falconry experience, and stargazing with an expert astronomer. It’s those one-off moments that stay with people.
Another client required a suite in a fully committed property in Ibiza for a peak summer date. Through our network, I secured it, along with added touches on arrival that ensured they were recognised as a priority guest from the moment they stepped in.

Thursday: Refinement & Personalisation
By Thursday, it’s all about detail. This is where I fine-tune everything. I’m updating preferences across multiple bookings, favourite wines stocked in advance, spa therapists requested by name, gym equipment arranged in-suite, even down to ensuring a client’s preferred newspaper is waiting each morning.
This week, I organised a milestone birthday in Iceland. Think private access to geothermal lagoons after hours, a guided glacier hike, and a surprise dinner inside a lava cave. Every element had to feel natural, not staged, which is often the hardest part to get right.

The Weekend: Quietly Available
Weekends are unpredictable. Even when things are running perfectly, I stay available. A client flying through Singapore decided they wanted to extend their stay… mid-flight. By the time they landed, I had already restructured the next leg of their trip, secured a suite at short notice, and arranged new experiences to fill the extra days.
It’s about being proactive without ever feeling intrusive.
Looking Forward: What’s Next
As the week wraps, I shift focus to what’s coming. I’ve just finished curating a multi-stop African itinerary, starting in Nairobi, moving into a
private conservancy in Kenya, then down to Zanzibar for a beachfront wind-down. Seamless transitions, private aviation, and carefully paced experiences throughout. Another couple is planning a cultural journey through India, where I’m weaving together heritage hotels, private guides, and access to experiences that aren’t easily bookable.
It’s all about depth, not just distance.

Friday Reflection
By the end of the week, I’ve navigated multiple time zones, handled last-minute changes, and built journeys that span continents.
At Celsius London, travel isn’t about volume, it’s about precision. Every itinerary is tailored, every detail considered, every experience designed to feel effortless from the client’s perspective.
It’s a constant balance of creativity and control. And that’s exactly what makes it so rewarding.
Because when it’s done right, our clients never see the complexity, they only feel the result.
