All vetting findings are shared directly with you prior to engagement and ahead of any payment, ensuring clarity and reassurance at every stage.
A Personal Approach to Recruitment
We go far beyond traditional recruitment practices.
We take the time to truly understand our candidates, get to know them really well, their experience, personality, and values building genuine relationships that extend well beyond the working week.
This allows us to introduce individuals who are not only highly skilled but also aligned with the culture and expectations of your household.
We are equally selective with the families we work with and will only present candidates to households we consider professional, respectful, and safe environments.
A Considered & Personal Interview Process
Wherever possible, we meet our candidates in person. This allows us to assess not only their professional experience, but also their presentation, discretion, and suitability for private household environments.
When meeting face-to-face is not logistically viable, we conduct detailed interviews via Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or FaceTime maintaining the same level of care and diligence throughout.
These practices have been carefully refined and trusted over the past 15 years and remain central to the consistent quality of our placements.
What We Check
- Government Issued Right To Work Code (if required)
- Full name and current residential address – with proof of address
- Proof of address – council tax bill or utility
- Valid passport – this is not shared with clients GDPR
- Driving licence (where applicable)
- Background & Security Checks
- Enhanced DBS checks where appropriate to the role
- Employment history review
Qualifications & Certifications
Where roles require specific expertise, all qualifications are carefully verified.
This may include:
- Paediatric First Aid (for nanny roles)
- Childcare or specialist training – NVQ or Cache Level 3 Link: nanny qualification
- Butler Training Certification
- Driving License and specialist training certificates
- Role-specific certifications
Where updates are required, we advise candidates accordingly to ensure they meet current standards.
References & Employer Verification
References form a critical part of our vetting process.
- Written references are requested wherever available
- Direct communication with previous employers is conducted as standard
- Detailed insight into performance, reliability, and discretion is obtained
We understand that many experienced domestic professionals work through recommendation and may not always hold formal written references. However, we always insist on direct employer verification to ensure authenticity and suitability.
