Salary: £75,000 to £85,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent, full time, live out
Hours: Five days per week across early and late shifts ([early shift times] or [late shift times])

About This Head Housekeeper Role
We are recruiting an accomplished Head Housekeeper in London for a prestigious private family based in central London This is a senior position with genuine required autonomy, leading a housekeeping team with confident and by example.
Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will work closely with the House Manager to deliver a seamless, discreet and beautifully presented household service. You will also be confident deputising for the House Manager during periods of absence.

Head Housekeeper Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management
- Lead, manage and motivate a housekeeping team of around 15, including housekeepers and a laundress
- Recruit, onboard and train new team members as the household grows
- Allocate tasks, set routines and carry out quality control across all properties
- Deputise for the House Manager during periods of absence
- This role requires someone who is a confident communicator
Standards and Systems
- Establish, implement and maintain household standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Create housekeeping schedules and quality control systems across the portfolio
- Set the standard through practical, hands on leadership
Household Presentation
- Maintain the principal property and wider portfolio to an exacting standard
- Ensure entertaining spaces, guest areas and private rooms are always guest ready
- Provide discreet, polished guest interaction during entertaining and family visits
Wardrobe, Laundry and Inventory
- Support Laundress when required. Oversee wardrobe care, storage and presentation of clothing and personal items
- Work with the laundress on specialist laundry and care of high end fabrics and delicate garments
- Manage linen, cleaning supplies, equipment and household inventories
Collaboration Is Vital
- Work closely with the House Manager and Director of Operations on priorities and service planning
- Support the family’s other residences in London with possibility of domestic travel.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven Head Housekeeper or Senior Housekeeper experience within a UHNW private household or five star hotel
- Experience leading and training a large housekeeping team of 10 or more
- Confident deputising for a House Manager or Estate Manager
- Clear evidence of longevity in previous positions
- Expert knowledge of luxury housekeeping, fine fabrics, wardrobe management and specialist laundry
- Experience creating and maintaining SOPs and quality control systems
- Calm, organised and self motivated, with a strong sense of ownership
- Immaculately presented, discreet and comfortable working around principals and guests
- Fluent English and the unrestricted right to work in the UK
- Flexible to work a five day week across early and late shifts
