The Role
An experienced House Manager is required for a UHNW multi-property family in central London, offering a salary of up to £90,000. This newly created, permanent role is ideal for a Household Manager or Estate Manager with a proven background in large, fully staffed private homes. The household spans five to six properties, and you will report directly to the Director of Operations. This is an ASAP start, subject to a successful trial.
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who leads by example. The team is already talented and capable; what’s needed is leadership grounded in genuine commitment and experience, not management from a distance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a large, skilled housekeeping and domestic team across multiple London properties, ensuring consistent standards throughout
- Introduce and embed robust systems, procedures and SOPs to improve operational efficiency
- Act as the key link between the principals and the wider household staff, translating expectations into clear, actionable standards
- Build and maintain a streamlined household operation, working closely with the Director of Operations
- Provide additional cover as needed; no two days will be the same
- Set the tone through visible, hands-on leadership rather than delegation alone
- Source and interview household staff as the team develops
Candidate Requirements
- Proven track record as a House Manager or Household Manager at UHNW level, with excellent, verifiable references
- Demonstrated longevity in previous private household roles
- Strong experience managing multi-property households and larger domestic teams
- Able to design and implement operational systems from scratch
- A natural, confident leader with excellent people management and communication skills, able to earn the respect of an established team
- Flexible, resilient and comfortable in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Immaculately presented and highly discreet
- Live out, with the ability to commute reliably to central London

Package
- Salary: £80,000 to £90,000 DOE
- Permanent, live-out position
- Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week
