A wonderful opportunity for a highly experienced housekeeper with longevity in previous roles and excellent references. This full-time position is based at a beautiful, large property in a sought-after village near Farnham, ideal for a candidate who is genuinely hands-on, house-proud, and confident running a substantial home to the highest standard without close supervision.
The Household
A friendly family of four:
- Two children, aged 3 and 9
- Two dogs: a German Shepherd and a Doberman
- Cats
Location
A large property with outbuildings in a lovely village near Farnham.
Working Hours
Full-time, approximately 40–45 hours per week as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Housekeeping to the highest of standards
- Full responsibility for all family laundry and wardrobe care
- Cupboard organisation and general household upkeep, including replenishing everyday products and essentials
- Shopping and errands for the household
- Deep cleaning support, approximately once a month
- School run support, so a confident and experienced driver is essential
- Occasional availability to stay at the property and care for the dogs while the family travels
- Cooking (family cooking)
Candidate Requirements
- Proven longevity in previous housekeeping roles
- Excellent, verifiable references
- Hands-on and highly capable, with genuine “home management” experience
- Able to run a large household independently, to the highest standard, without instruction
- Confident, experienced driver
- Comfortable and experienced around large dogs
- Flexible and willing to occasionally stay overnight at the property
Salary
£45,000–£60,000, dependent on experience.
