[Live-in / Live-out] | Full time over four days
We are recruiting an experienced Nanny Housekeeper for a lovely family in Cobham, Surrey, within easy reach of Esher, Oxshott, Weybridge and Leatherhead. This private household role combines caring for school aged children with maintaining an immaculate family home, and is worked over a four-day week for an excellent work-life balance.
About the Role
The family is looking for a dedicated Nanny Housekeeper who takes real pride in their work and wants to become a valued part of a busy, happy household. The position is worked over four longer days, giving the successful candidate three full days off each week. The family is offering an excellent salary to secure a candidate of the highest calibre.
Key Responsibilities
Housekeeping
- Maintaining the family home to an immaculate standard at all times
- Cleaning to the highest level, with meticulous attention to detail throughout
- Laundry, ironing and wardrobe care
- Keeping the home organised, tidy and running smoothly day to day
Childcare
- Caring for school aged children with warmth, energy and consistency
- Encouraging healthy habits, including nutritious meals, good routines and an active lifestyle
- Supporting homework, play and age-appropriate activities
- Providing a calm, structured and nurturing environment
Driving
- School runs and driving the children to after-school activities
- Running household errands as required
The Ideal Nanny Housekeeper
- Substantial, proven experience as a Nanny Housekeeper or Family Housekeeper in a private household (essential)
- Formal childcare qualifications are not required, but strong, demonstrable hands-on experience is
- Exceptionally high standards and a sharp eye for detail
- Reliable, consistent and trustworthy, with excellent time management
- Proactive and able to work independently, anticipating the family’s needs
- Discreet and professional, with a warm and positive manner
- Full clean UK driving licence and confident driver
- Excellent references from previous private households
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
