Housekeeper Job in Kingswood, Surrey – Family Assistant
Silks is recruiting an experienced, proactive housekeeper for a busy family home in Kingswood, Surrey. This is a hands-on housekeeping role with occasional light childcare support, ideal for someone who takes pride in running a household smoothly and doesn’t need to be asked twice.

An informal large family home (7 beds) with school-aged children and a small dog.
About the Role
This is primarily a housekeeping position. The family is looking for someone who takes full ownership of the home, someone who notices what needs doing and takes care of it proactively, rather than waiting to be asked.
Some occasional child-related support is involved, including school pick-ups, homework help and general supervision, but this is not a nanny role.
Key Responsibilities
- General tidying and household organisation
- Bed making and linen changes
- Daily bedroom tidying and putting away clothes
- Bathroom cleaning and maintenance
- Kitchen cleaning and organisation
- Laundry and ironing
- Monitoring household supplies and shopping as needed
- Family meal preparation where required
- Occasional school pick-ups and homework support
- Ad hoc errands and household administration
- Periodic deep organisation of areas such as the fridge, cupboards, wardrobes and utility spaces

Hours and Schedule
3 days per week, 10am–6pm.
Monday – Wednesday and Friday.
