An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Housekeeper to join a beautiful private residence in Sevenoaks, Kent. This is a fantastic long-term opportunity for a professional Housekeeper seeking a stable role within a welcoming household where exceptional standards are valued.
Offering a salary of up to £50,000, working approximately 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday, this role is ideal for an experienced Housekeeper with a background in luxury private homes who enjoys taking pride in maintaining a beautifully presented property.
The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of specialist cleaning products and techniques, with experience caring for fine furnishings, delicate fabrics and luxury finishes.
The family would love someone who would be happy to stay at the property when they are away.
Love of dogs essential. They have one small one.
Housekeeper Responsibilities
- Full housekeeping of a substantial luxury private residence
- Cleaning and care of specialist surfaces, fine furnishings and premium finishes
- Laundry, ironing and wardrobe management
- Household organisation and storage management
- Monitoring household supplies and stock levels
- Ordering cleaning products and household essentials
- Liaising with contractors, suppliers and service providers
- Reporting maintenance issues where necessary
- Preparing the property for family arrivals and guests
- Maintaining immaculate presentation throughout the home
- Acting as a trusted point of contact for the principals
The Ideal Housekeeper
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven experience working as a Housekeeper within a luxury private household
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent product and surface care knowledge
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- The ability to work independently and use initiative
- A discreet, professional and positive approach
- Confidence liaising directly with principals and contractors
- A genuine commitment to maintaining the highest housekeeping standards
A driver is preferred due to the property’s location, although Sevenoaks town centre is approximately a 30-minute walk away.

Location: Sevenoaks, Kent
Position: Full-Time Daily Housekeeper (Live Out)
Hours: Approximately 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday (around 40 hours per week) with flexibility to support at weekends.
Salary: Up to £50,000, depending on experience
