Housekeeper Job in Tadworth, Surrey (Part-Time)

We are seeking a reliable and experienced housekeeper in Tadworth, Surrey to support a busy family household. This part-time housekeeper role focuses on maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming home, with a blend of housekeeping, light family support, and occasional cooking.

Our current housekeeper is moving into a full-time position, and we are now looking for a professional domestic housekeeper to take over the role.

Housekeeper Hours & Pay

• Part-time housekeeper position – approximately 12 hours per week

• Current working schedule:

  • Monday: 12:30pm – 6:30pm

  • Tuesday & Thursday: 1:00pm – 4:00pm

• Housekeeper rate: up to £22 per hour, depending on experience

• Opportunity to increase housekeeper hours if full-house cleaning is of interest

• Additional hours would be on Fridays, when cleaners currently attend

Housekeeper Duties & Responsibilities

• Housekeeping and laundry care, including washing, folding, putting away clothes, and ironing

• Bedroom and bathroom cleaning for three children, maintaining excellent hygiene standards

• Kitchen cleaning and organisation, including dishwashing, surface cleaning, appliance care, and fridge checks for food safety

• General household cleaning, including vacuuming, mopping, and regular floor care

• Organising cupboards, wardrobes, and household storage

• Light household management duties, including changing flowers and managing bins

• Running errands and shopping as required

• Cooking family meals once or twice per week

• Occasional school collections and after-school care

• Preparing school bags and uniforms for the following day

• Additional private housekeeper duties as required, including bed-making and light household maintenance

Housekeeper Requirements

• Previous experience in a private household housekeeping role

• Trustworthy, discreet, and reliable housekeeper able to work independently

• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to home organisation

• Comfortable working with children in a family home

• Flexible and happy to assist with additional household tasks

• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
