Accommodation
The role offers exceptional and spacious separate accommodation, making it ideal for either:
- A single candidate seeking a long-term live-in position
- A candidate with a professional partner (please note no employment is available for a partner)
- A local candidate who may prefer occasional overnight stays when required to oversee the property during the principals’ absence
Housekeeper Duties
- Full housekeeping of a substantial luxury private residence
- Cleaning and care of specialist surfaces, fabrics and finishes
- Laundry, ironing and wardrobe management
- Household organisation and storage management
- Monitoring household supplies and stock levels
- Ordering cleaning products and household essentials
- Liaising with contractors, suppliers and service providers
- Reporting maintenance issues and following up where necessary
- Preparing the property for arrivals, guests and special occasions
- Ensuring the home is presented to an exceptional standard at all times
- Acting as a trusted point of contact for the principals
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Significant experience as a Housekeeper within a private household
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong product and surface care knowledge
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- The ability to work independently and use initiative
- A positive, professional and discreet approach
- Confidence liaising directly with principals and contractors
- A genuine commitment to maintaining the highest housekeeping standards
A driver is preferred due to the location, although Sevenoaks town centre is approximately a 30-minute walk from the property.
Hours & Package
Location: Sevenoaks, Kent
Position: Live-In Housekeeper
Hours: Approximately 40–45 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: Excellent salary available for the right candidate, dependent on experience
