This is a key role within a relaxed yet high-standard private household. The family are London-based during the week, entrusting the successful candidate with ensuring the home is maintained and operated to country house and boutique hotel standards, ready for seamless family arrival each weekend.

The household becomes fully active during weekends and school holidays, therefore flexibility and a professional, solutions-led approach are essential.

The Role

This position requires a confident self-starter who takes genuine pride in overseeing a home independently, ensuring every detail is thoughtfully managed and consistently maintained.

Responsibilities include:

• Full housekeeping and presentation of a substantial country home

• Maintaining exceptional cleanliness and organisational standards throughout

• Preparing the property ahead of family residence and guests

• Laundry, fine linen care, and wardrobe management

• Household procurement and inventory oversight

• Liaising with contractors and coordinating routine maintenance

• Care of high-quality interiors, antiques, and specialist finishes

• Supporting a welcoming, family-oriented and dog-friendly environment
